RR#3 and he was a farmer by trade. He got paid $1.10 a day of which $15 a month was sent to his mother. His War Service Gratuity was sent to the Bank of Ottawa in Ottawa, ON. After the war, Peter returned to the family farm and was listed as 25 years of age in the 1921 census. Peter did marry Sarah Ada Griffith on Oct. 14, 1937 and died on May 7, 1979 in Perth, ON. His mother died in 1944 and his father in 1946. His wife, Sarah, died in 1991.

He arrived in England in July 22,1918 and sailed on the SS Tunisian where he joined the 6th Reserve in Seaforth. He got discharged on June 23,1919 and sailed back on the SS Belgic from Liverpool to Canada arriving in Halifax on July 1, 1919.

From July 24, 1918 to August 15, 1918, Peter got the measles. On September 27, 1918, he got the measles again and was in the hospital until Oct. 17. He got the mumps on November 12 and was in the hospital until Dec. 2. When he got tested, he had good vision and good hearing. On May 9, 1918, he had nine teeth filled and another nine teeth pulled. He had a burn scar on his right knee.
